I bought a Mova robot vacuum+mop in October 2026. Specifically the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen2, which is both vacuum and mop.
You must use their MovaHome app to control the robot (Google, Apple). The app has lots of customization.
Here are better descriptions for the choices in "Carpet Cleaning Settings", compared to the descriptions shown in the app.
Vacuum
Always vacuum and never mop: the robot will lift the mop heads while vacuuming.
When you tap this "Vacuum" choice, these additional choices appear:
- Carpet boost: increase vacuum suction power on this carpet
- Clean carpets first: Before doing any mopping anywhere, always vacuum this carpet before.
Note: Elsewhere in app are choices to "mop only". When chosen, this carpet will not be vacuumed, and the robot will probably not even drive onto this carpet at all.
Avoid
Never drive onto this carpet: no vacuum and no mopping.
Note: If a room/area can be reached only by driving over this carpet, robot will never reach reach that room/area. See "Crossing Carpets" below as alternative
Ignore
Treat this area as hard floor, including vacuum and mop.
My recommendation is to simply delete the carpet in the app.
Crossing Carpets
Never vacuum and never mop, but it's ok for the robot to drive onto the carpet. This allows the robot to be more efficient during cleaning, and allows the robot to reach rooms/areas that can be reached only by driving over this carpet.
