It seems there was this little old lady who was always prim and proper, but
she had a real problem with gas: she farted all the time and couldn't
control it. It happened constantly, and she couldn't stop it, but she
managed to let them out so that they were quiet.
But she didn't know how to control the smell, which became such a problem
that she finally decided to seek professional help went to visit her
physician. At the office she explained:
"Doctor, this is difficult for me to say so I'll just say it. I seem to
have a problem with, well, silent gas emissions. I can't control them.
Coming up the elevator I made two silent gas emissions, in the waiting room
I made two more, and I've even made one while we've been in this room!
Isn't there anything you can do for me?"
The Doctor thought for a moment, and then turned to her and said, "Well,
I think the first thing we're going to have to do is get you a hearing aid."
